Tinnitus Consultation

Dr. Brenner starts with an interview/ consultation appointment which allows her to learn more about you and what you are experiencing. This includes discussing how you are specifically experiencing tinnitus along with your medical and hearing history.

The prerequisites for this appointment are results from a visit with your ENT that includes an audiogram and notes along with completed tinnitus questionnaires.

Tinnitus can be experienced in a variety of ways, so it is important for Dr. Brenner to understand your individual experience. She will inquire about the specific sounds you hear, the severity of your tinnitus on a scale from mild to severe, and whether it is intermittent or constant.

Dr. Brenner will also review your medical history, including your tinnitus history, sound sensitivity, ear problems, or family history of tinnitus and hearing loss. This information is essential for identifying potential underlying causes of your tinnitus.

Once Dr. Brenner has a comprehensive understanding of your tinnitus and its impact, she will develop a personalized tinnitus management plan. to include stress reduction.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Program

Dr. Brenner is The Expert in tinnitus care. She offers the latest in tinnitus management techniques, including Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and the Lenire Tinnitus Treatment Device and Program. Dr. Brenner works with each patient in an unhurried manner to develop a personalized treatment plan to empower her patients. Each patient is provided with a program that is tailored to their individual needs and goals.

TRT is a non-invasive, educational and sound-based therapy protocol that helps to train the brain to ignore or habituate to tinnitus. TRT is a gradual process that typically takes several months, however, most patients experience significant relief after a short time.
